Privacy policy

This page explains which personal data MC Planner processes, why, and what your rights are. In short: the planner runs on your own computer. Data only reaches our servers when you create an account, use collaboration (going live, sharing a world, pinboard images) or link previews.
1. Who is responsible

2. What stays on your computer
Your Minecraft game jar, your world files, your plans, imported schematic files and pinboard images are read and stored only in your browser (IndexedDB, local storage) or, in the desktop app, on your computer. We don't receive them unless you use one of the features in section 4. Settings such as your chosen display name are kept in your browser's local storage; this is needed for the app to work and is not used for tracking.
We use no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers.
Block textures from Mojang (optional). If you join a shared world on a computer without Minecraft and choose "Get the block textures from Mojang", your browser downloads the official Minecraft game file directly from Mojang's servers (Mojang AB / Microsoft), like the Minecraft launcher does. Mojang receives the usual technical data of a download (such as your IP address); see Mojang's privacy statement. The file is kept only in your browser. It never passes through our servers and we never receive or store it.
3. Visiting the website
The website and our server run on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). When you open the site, Cloudflare processes technical data needed to deliver it and protect it from attacks: IP address, date and time, the address requested, browser type (user agent). We use this only to run and secure the service (legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and don't combine it with other data. 4. Collaboration (optional)

This data is stored with Cloudflare (Durable Objects and R2 storage) so the people you invite can plan with you (performance of our service, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Invite links are private: anyone who has one can open the world, so only share them with people you trust. Your game textures are never uploaded.

5. Accounts (optional)
You only need an account to plan together with others. When you create one we store: your email address, the name and colour you choose (shown to the people you plan with), when the account was created, and — if you sign in with Discord, Google or Microsoft — the basic profile that service shares with us (your name and email). We use this to sign you in and to show who is planning in a shared world (performance of our service, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Accounts are stored with Supabase (Supabase, Inc.; servers in [CHECK: region of the Supabase project, e.g. Frankfurt, Germany]), which processes the data on our behalf. The sign-in session is kept in your browser's local storage. You can change your name and colour in the app and delete your account at any time (Account → Delete my account); the account data is then deleted.
6. Link previews
When you paste a link (for example Pinterest or YouTube) into a pinboard, our server fetches that page to show its title and picture. The website you link to sees our server, not you. The preview is cached for 7 days.
7. Desktop app
The desktop app looks for Minecraft launcher folders on your computer to find your game jar and worlds. This happens only on your computer; nothing is sent to us.
8. Service providers and transfers
Supabase, Inc. (accounts) and Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting, storage, security) process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. Cloudflare may process data in the USA; such transfers are covered by [CHECK: EU–US Data Privacy Framework certification incl. UK Extension and/or standard contractual clauses in Cloudflare's DPA].
9. Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to [CONTACT EMAIL]. You can also complain to a supervisory authority — in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), in the EU the authority of your country.
10. Children
MC Planner can be used without giving us any personal data. If you are under 16, please ask a parent before you use the collaboration features.
11. Changes
We will update this page when MC Planner changes — for example when paid plans are added. The date at the top shows the latest version.
