Terms of use
Last updated: 25 September 2026
These terms apply to the MC Planner website, the desktop app and the collaboration service ("MC Planner"), provided by [COMPANY NAME] Ltd ("we"). By using MC Planner you agree to them.
1. What MC Planner is
MC Planner is a tool to view Minecraft worlds in 3D and plan paths, areas and buildings on them. Planning on your own computer is free. Collaboration lets you plan live with others through our server.
2. Minecraft
NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT. To see block textures you need your own copy of Minecraft: MC Planner reads the textures from your game files on your computer, or — if you choose it and confirm that you own Minecraft: Java Edition and accept the Minecraft EULA — from the official game file your browser downloads directly from Mojang. Don't upload Minecraft's game files (textures, sounds, the game jar) to shared worlds or pinboards.
3. Your content
Your worlds, plans, images and notes stay yours. When you share them through the collaboration service, you allow us to store them and show them to the people you invite, only for running the service. Only share content you have the right to share. Don't use MC Planner for anything illegal, hateful, sexual, or harmful to others, and don't try to overload or break the service. We may remove content or shared worlds that break these rules, and we may block access in serious cases.
4. Fair use
The collaboration service has limits (for example on storage and the number of shared worlds) so it stays affordable for everyone. We show the limits in the app. We may pause shared worlds that are unused for a long time; your plans always stay on your own computer.
5. Availability and changes
We work to keep MC Planner running, but we can't promise that it is always available or free of errors. We may change or end features. If we end the collaboration service, we will tell you in advance so you can export your plans.
6. Paid plans
[Applies once paid plans launch.] Cloud, Team and Lifetime plans are sold through Stripe's Link as merchant of record. Prices, what each plan includes, cancellation and refunds are explained on the refunds & cancellation page and at checkout. "Lifetime" means for as long as we run the MC Planner Cloud service; self-hosted collaboration keeps working without our servers.
7. Liability
[LIABILITY CLAUSE — to be written with a lawyer. Note: towards consumers in the EU/UK, liability for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health cannot be excluded.] Please keep your own backups of important plans (File ▾ → Save plan file).
8. Open source
The MC Planner software is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. These terms cover the service we run, not your rights under that licence.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can go to court there.
